Candidate Members

Candidate members are working toward certification. Candidates have not yet passed all written examinations and may be at various stages in their number of inspection requirements. They are not allowed to advertise their membership or use the CAHPI logo.  All members are required to carry General Liability Insurance and Errors and Omissions Insurance.

Associate Members

Associate Members are working toward completion of 250 fee-paid inspections in accordance with the CAHPI Standards of Practices. They have passed all written examinations testing their knowledge of residential construction, inspection techniques; report writing and the standard of practice and Code of Ethics.  All members are required to carry General Liability Insurance and Errors and Omissions Insurance.
